CURRENCY OF THE RUSSIAN SOVIET FEDERATIVE SOCIALIST REPUBLIC, 1919-1921

In the turbulent period following the October Revolution, the newly formed Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic faced a critical economic problem. Towards 1919, rapid price increases had erupted the previous currency, rendering it practically worthless. To address this acute issue, leader
